Where You Look
You
can't find self-respect in a book.
You'll never see your strength looking at a cathode ray.
No matter what your banker tells you, no amount of money in the world can add up
to security.
Within the insides of your heart and mind, there isn't a single assembly line to
be found.
There are moments when even the best songs in the world can't compare with
silence.
I never believe in anything that could make the sky look less pretty.
Wait,
that's a lie. You can't find a pretty sky under a blanket, but you can find
other things. Cool things...kept warm by a blanket.
You will never find an orgasm in a piece of chocolate. But then, you won't find
a piece of chocolate in an orgasm either.
You'll never know yourself by an image in the mirror. And, no matter how nice
you look, neither the mirror or camera will ever really love you.
I'm certain that no amount of showering can cleanse a heart.
Sometimes, I read poetry on the toilet.
